Summary: On the good side: my room was beautifully designed, with lovely furniture, an EXTREMELY comfortable bed, a modern bathroom, and high quality complimentary toiletries. The area is also very convenient, near the train station and just a short walk away from lots of restaurants, cafes and temples. On the bad side, this isn't quite a normal hotel. In fact there is no hotel reception or even a sign saying it is a hotel! And the address on the listing is wrong! The 'hotel' is actually on the ninth floor of a building a few doors down from the listed address - a purple building with a Family Mart on the ground floor. To access it, you need to go to the left-hand side of Family Mart, look for the signs advertising a beauty parlour, go in that door, then take the elevator up to F9. But you STILL won't be able to get in because of there is no reception desk and the door is kept locked! I WOULD recommend staying at this place but you MUST contact them to arrange your arrival (and departure!) in advance. I was very lucky that some kind people in the street helped me get in contact with the owner, and I was able to keep my luggage in a shop for two hours while I waited until 4pm for my room to be ready.

Summary: The staff are very nice and helpful. They even whatsapped me right after I booked the hotel, so that I could reach them whenever I needed. The inn occupied an entire floor of a multipurpose building, though the location is a bit obscure. The entrance of the building is on the side of the road, where you make a turn after you walk pass Family Mart. Though the staff will surly go downstairs and welcome you the first time you come. The room is very spacey and chic, like a boutique hotel. My room has a big tub so I enjoyed a very nice bath. Free breadfast actually means coupons for local restaurants, which is even better since I am tired of Viking buffets. I went to a restaurant which is twenty minutes walk away from the inn but definitely worth it. The butler helped me make the reservation and gave helpful advices of how to explore Tainan. Excellent service all in all, I'd recommed to anyone that wants to stay in an upscale inn instead of a regular hotel.

Summary: I had stayed for two nights. The room is a two thumbs up. It has a little attic room within the room which was quite special. The view of the city was magnificent. The host was really nice! He had contacted me before I arrived and arranged a bike for me to cycle around the city. The room was clean and the bed was really comfy. The shower was nice except the water would splatter all over the washroom and make the whole floor wet because there were no curtains. One thing about the neighbourhood is that they closed quite early at night and there isn't much to eat except the food from Family Mart below. Also, there is a distance between the hotel and the train station, between I was ok with walking for a few blocks. Overall I enjoyed the stay and recommended it.
